Whole Leaf Organics Agrees To Cease Covid-19 Claims As Per Federal Order

Growing fear of the coronavirus pandemic has caused various businesses to monetize this scenario by touting their products or services as a possible cure. But this inhumane act is being dealt with in the strongest possible manner in the US.

Whole Leaf Organics has already been warned by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission to stop making Covid-19 related claims. Owner of the company Marc Ching has even come to a common standing with the federal authorities to stop health claims about three of its products, CBD-RX, CBD-EX and CBD-Max. These CBD treatments were previously advertised to be an antiviral wellness booster.

The federal government has had its share in warning these CBD companies from making coronavirus related claims. Lately they have started directly suing them. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration had warned Whole Leaf Organics last year against marketing CBD as a safe ingredient in dietary and food supplements.

Mr. Ching has also agreed to stop implying that his medications can prevent or treat Covid-19 in any way. Andrew Smith, the Director of U.S. Bureau of Consumer Protection has stated, “Let’s be clear: companies making these claims can look forward to an FTC lawsuit like this one.”
